the coach tourism community

There are six ways you can take part in this year’s awards:

1. You can vote online for the coach friendly town or city award, the visitor attraction award, and     the shopping destination award.
2. You can vote online for the tourism supplier awards.
3. Members of the coach tourism community can enter for the Coach Tourism Green Award.
4. You can nominate someone who works in the coach tourism community for the award for     Coach Tourism Professional of the Year.
5. You can nominate a coach driver for the award for Coach Tour Driver of the Year.
6. Coach tour operators can enter for the operator, holidays and tour programme, brochure and     website awards.

Here are the awards:

1. Coach Friendly Town or City of the Year
Vote online for a town or city that demonstrates its commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups, and coach drivers.
 
2. Coach Friendly Visitor Attraction of the Year
Vote online for a visitor attraction that demonstrates its commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups, and coach drivers.
 
3. Coach Friendly Shopping Destination of the Year
Vote online for a shopping destination that demonstrates its commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups, and coach drivers.
 
4. Cross-Sea Carrier of the Year
Vote online for a cross-sea carrier that demonstrates a commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups and coach drivers.
 
5. Accommodation Provider of the Year – Hotel groups
Vote online for a hotel group or chain that demonstrates a commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups and coach drivers.
 
6. Accommodation Provider of the Year – Individual hotels
Vote online for an individual hotel (independent or part of a group or chain) that demonstrates a commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups and coach drivers.
 
7. Ticket Supplier of the Year
Vote online for a ticket supplier that demonstrates an understanding of the needs of, and a commitment to working closely with, coach tour operators.
 
8. Tour Wholesaler of the Year
Vote online for a tour wholesaler that demonstrates an understanding of the needs of, and a commitment to working closely with, coach tour operators

 
9. Holiday Programme of the Year
Entry is open to any UK coach operator that operates a programme of coach holidays. The judges will be looking for a programme that demonstrates innovation and creativity together with a good mix of destinations.
 
10. Day Excursion Programme of the Year
Entry is open to any UK coach operator that operates a programme of day excursions. The judges will be looking for a programme that demonstrates innovation and creativity together with a good mix of destinations.
 
11. Coach Tour Operator Brochure of the Year
Entry is open to any UK coach tour operator that produces a printed coach holiday brochure. The judges will be looking for a brochure that’s clearly laid out, has a professional appearance, and is easy to understand. The judges will also be looking for examples of innovation and creativity in design and content.
 
12. Coach Tour Operator Website of the Year
Entry is open to any UK coach tour operator with a website that is used to market its programme of coach tours or excursions. The judges will be looking for a website that presents a professional appearance, is easy to read and navigate, makes the booking process easy, and gives the opportunity to talk with a real person.
 
13. Coach Tourism Green Award
Entry is open to any business or organisation involved in delivering coach tourism. The judges will be looking for initiatives that demonstrate a commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of the business or organisation.

 
14. Coach Tourism Professional of the Year
Entry is open to any professional working for a coach tour operator, supplier, destination or organisation within the coach tourism community. Entrants must be nominated.
 
15. Coach Drivers’ Club award for ‘Coach Tour Driver of the Year’
Entry is open to any coach driver who is mainly employed on coach tour duties. Entrants must be nominated.

 
16. Coach Tour Operator of the Year – small fleets
Fleet to be no more than 10 full-size coaches The judges will be looking for a coach tour operator that demonstrates a commitment to quality, can evidence business success, presents a professional appearance, has a good industry reputation, and demonstrates a commitment to training.
 
17. Coach Tour Operator of the Year – large fleets
Fleet of more than 10 full-size coaches The judges will be looking for a coach tour operator that demonstrates a commitment to quality, can evidence business success, presents a professional appearance, has a good industry reputation, and demonstrates a commitment to training.s

 
18. Coach Monthly ‘Special Award’
This award is in the gift of the CTA judging panel, and is awarded in recognition of outstanding services to coach tourism.
